Mocca – Rediscover my favorite music

Since my iPod was stolen last year, i barely listen to music.  My only music hook up is the radio when i’m driving. Hence, it has been some time since i listen to my favorite songs. Events from last weekend had made me dug up youtube to find  songs by my one of my favorite band, Mocca.

Mocca is an indie/twee pop band based on Bandung, indonesia. Their music has a mix of swing, jazz, and ’70s Swedish pop (hello, ABBA!). They have a similar sound as Acid House Kings, though i feel Mocca has a lighter sound in their music. Some say they were not widely popular in indonesia as those mainstream music bands, however, they have strong fan bases in neighboring countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and even South Korea. i love all their songs but this is probably my favorite. *Don’t worry, they sing in English*. i think it came as a shock to many, that the King of Pop passed away today after suffering from a cardiac arrest. in memoriam of one of the greatest talent:

i always love this song, and in this video, he was only 13 years old yet he really captures what the song is all about. it was tragic that he passed away before his scheduled big come back (50 concerts in UK). RiP Michael Jackson.
