Purple Duckling's Tale

back to school!

Aww… i’m officially wrapping up the first week of school at Bellevue. Oh my, it’s pretty hard to do online classes: trying to understand accounting concepts, which is very foreign to me, as well as keeping up with the assignments. Man, do i have lots of assignments! it can be brain numbing sometimes.

Last week i had the cutest orientation ever at Bellevue. For some reason, there was only 2 students (including me) came for the first day of orientation. The people there are so sweet though, and we’re just being informal the whole time.. not much of presentation, but more dialogues. The next day, i woke up late and practically jammed on the Sadewa’s (ie. my car) accelerator. i even almost ran out of gas. But i managed to reach Bellevue only 5 minutes late. Guess what? No other student came that day. Oh my! i thought, well maybe i should have came too.. BUT they were all so nice i would feel bad if i skipped the orientation. So, we move on with the program and i practically have some kind of private tour around the university. i collected a bunch of name card from advisors to librarians to tech supports.. oh, even the bookstore manager! Then we had a small lunch where 2 Mongolian girls joined us, hence making it some kind of a girls gathering.. chit chat about travel, the weekend, cultures, etc. Lovely.

Next, we went to the Omaha Zoo!!! Oh you can’t believe how excited i was. it was a big zoo and i went there only once in my 4 years here in Nebraska. Even then i barely cover half of it. But this time, we went mad.. we went to see majority of the animals, even the aquarium and the new butterfly pavillion. We even got to try the new ride: Skyfari. it’s actually a kind of ski elevator that bring you from one side of the zoo to another. it was pretty cool to see giraffes and elephants from that heights.  Pictures followed:
